In partnership with Workforce Development, PRK Construction has developed a five-week Residential Builder Licensing Program designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on preparation needed to begin a career in residential construction.
Classes are held three days per week and are offered in both morning and evening sessions to accommodate a variety of schedules. Instruction is delivered in a block format based on the NCCER Core Curriculum:
• Basic Safety
• Basic Construction Math
• Introduction to Hand Tools
• Introduction to Power Tools
• Introduction to Construction Drawings and Blueprints
• Basic Rigging
• Communication Skills
• Employability Skills
• Material Handling
• Career Development in Construction
All required textbooks, training materials, and tools will be provided by PRK Construction at no cost to participants.
Apprenticeship
Students who successfully complete the program and pass the Residential Builder Licensing Exam may qualify for selection into a paid apprenticeship program. Apprentices will gain valuable real-world experience working alongside industry professionals while continuing to develop their skills in the field.
